Munster Lego League is a program, which organizes and coaches teams for Munster school children, grades 4 thru 8 to compete in the national FIRST LEGO League robotics competition. FIRST LEGO League is a robotics competition for 9 to 14 year old children. The children will be directly involved with science and technology through hands-on experimentation. They will be using LEGO Mindstorms kits which include LEGO elements such as sensors, motors, and gears. Teams gain hands-on experience in science and engineering principles as they construct and program unique robotic designs. The teams, using scientific methods, will explore solutions to a real world problem, which is revealed each year to all teams in the fall (early September). Each of the teams will be responsible for completing three tasks required for competition, formal project presentation, mechanical robot design, and control software for the mechanical design.

2004 Season One
Five teams from Munster competed.
Two teams qualified for state: Team #1421 and Team #1741.

2005 Season Two
Six teams from Munster competed.
Three teams qualified for state: Team #25, Team #33, and Team #36.
Team #25 Regional: 1st Place Teamwork (tied).
Team #33 Regional: 1st Place Teamwork (tied).

2006 Season Three
Six teams from Munster competed.
One team qualified for state: Team #13.
Team #13 State: Championship award 2nd place

2007 Season Four
Six teams from Munster competed.
No teams qualified for state.
