The conclusion of the 2011 First Lego League season will be the 8th and final year for the originating program leaders managing the Munster Lego League robotics teams. The program will likely continue in the future, but will be run under different guidance. The program, under our leadership, saw well over 300 students and dozens of parent coaches and helpers. Thanks to all that were involved. It would have been impossible to run these teams, with the level of success, without everyone's help. Major awards through the years were three Indiana State Champon's Awards, three regional champion awards, and qualified for the 2010 National Open Tournament, LEGOLAND California. Below you can view team's many other awards and achievements received throughout the years. Good luck to the new program leaders, we hope you carry on with the high standards and sucesses of the previous eight years. |

| Munster Lego League Overview: |

|
|
Munster Lego League is a program, which organizes and coaches teams to compete in the national FIRST LEGO League robotics competition. FIRST LEGO League is a robotics competition for 9 to 14 year old children. The children will be directly involved with science and technology through hands-on experimentation. They will be using LEGO Mindstorms kits which include LEGO elements such as sensors, motors, and gears. Teams gain hands-on experience in science and engineering principles as they construct and program unique robotic designs. The teams, using scientific methods, will explore solutions to a real world problem, which is revealed each year to all teams in the fall (early September). Each of the teams will be responsible for completing three tasks required for competition, formal project presentation, mechanical robot design, and control software for the mechanical design. |
